Greetings from Bangalore!
Your intrepid reporter has travelled from the snow of D.C. to the sun of India for the bi-annual Aero India trade show. The show bills itself as the largest in Asia, and in terms of sheer size, it might not be wrong – there are five major exhibition halls spread alongside the tarmac at Air Force Station Yelahanka.
All week I’ll be teaming up with our Indian correspondant Vivek Raghuvanshi to bring the latest news from the ground over at the main Defense News site. In fact, we’ve already filed our first two pieces – one on delays facing India’s Light Utility Helicopter program, and one on India’s reception of jet engines for their new C-17s.
The show officially starts tomorrow, but reporters were able to enter the grounds today. And although there wasn’t much set up, we managed to grab some photos for all you loyal Intercepts readers. We’ll have more of these coming, but for now, enjoy the photo collection after the jump.
